ARKANSAS CIVIL WAR SESQUICENTENNIAL COMMISSION ADDS BATTLE DATABASE TO WEBSITE

LITTLE ROCK - The Arkansas Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission has added a comprehensive database on Civil War battles in the state to its website, ACWSC Chairman Tom Dupree announced today.

"Arkansas was the scene of more than 770 offensive operations during the war, ranging from raids and skirmishes to full-fledged battles," Dupree said. "This database will help show people where and when fighting took place in their area."

Located at http://www.arkansascivilwar150.com/research-education/chronology/default.aspx, the database can be searched by county, by month and by year.
