The Grandison D. Royston House on Alexander Street in Historic
Washington State Park, a classic ca. 1830 Greek Revival-style structure, was the
home of Royston, a Unionist who stayed with his state after secession and served
two years in the Confederate Congress in Richmond, Virginia.
To reach the park, take Exit #30 off I-30 at Hope and travel eight miles northwest on U.S. 278 to Washington.
Open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The park is closed on the following holidays:
New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
