The Delta Cultural Center opened in 1990 and is a multi-facility institution devoted to collecting, preserving, interpreting, and presenting the heritage of the Eastern Arkansas Delta region. Our Civil War exhibit is “The Civil War in the Arkansas Delta,” three galleries devoted to the war in Eastern Arkansas, in particular the Battle of Helena. The Delta Cultural Center is a museum of the Department of Arkansas Heritage.
The Delta Cultural Center is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. The museum is also open on national Monday holidays throughout the year. The museum is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
